I had no idea that dogs with large amounts of heartworms in their bodies can experience cardiovascular problems that could be fatal if they are not treated as soon as possible. My Chihuahua has been lying on my living room floor ever since I brought her home yesterday, and I am worried that she might have eaten something dangerous when she ran away last week. Maybe I should consider seeking immediate help in case she is experiencing health complications.

It was really helpful when you pointed out that a persistent cough can be a sign that a dog might have heartworm. I am worried that my dog might have heartworm because he has been acting pretty sick for the past week or so. I am going to have to take him to a veterinarian so that he can get some medicine that will remove the parasite from his body.

I never took into account the fact that there can be a blockage of blood flow within the heart which can lead to cardiovascular collapse. I guess it is best to always get your dogs or other pets checked to avoid this kind of medical problem. In my opinion, getting pet vaccinations, annual health checks, and regular vet visits will definitely be the three most important things to do once I have my own dog in the future.

My dog has been coughing for about a week now even though he doesn't seem to be sick. It stood out to me when you talked about how a mild persistent cough can be a sign of heartworm disease. I will have to take my dog to a veterinarian so that he can get some heartworm medication.
